Pookie's Portal is a private stats page run by Roam Community LLC for two small businesses, Roam Community and Natalie's Journal. It shows how their posts are doing and what they led to in their shops. Only people invited by email can sign in. This page says what it keeps, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.
What it keeps
- Your sign-in. The email of your Google account, through Google's Firebase sign-in, to check you're on the list. The portal never sees your Google password.
- Connections. When a business's owner connects an account (like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Google Analytics, Shopify or Etsy), that platform gives the portal a key to read it. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown on the page.
- Posts and views. Each post's link, date and the first line of its caption or title, and its views by day, as the platform reports them.
- Sales. For each sale: what was bought, the amount, the time, how the buyer found the shop (one of our links, the website they came from, or what the store says), and whether they had bought before, where the store says.
- Visits. How many visits each shop or website had each day.
- Tracked links. How many times each of our links was opened each day. Nothing about who opened it: no IP addresses, cookies or device details.
What it never keeps
- Buyers' names, emails, addresses or phone numbers. If the portal shows a shop's owner a buyer's name, it's read from the store at that moment and not saved.
- Your passwords for any platform. You only ever type those on the platform's own page.
Who can see it
Each business's numbers can be seen only by its owners and by people an owner has shared it with. Nobody else can, including other people who can sign in.
We don't sell, rent or pass on any of it, and we don't use it for advertising. The portal shows no ads and runs no ad or tracking scripts.
It's stored with Cloudflare (the database, in North America) and Google Firebase (the page and sign-in), who keep it for us and don't use it for anything else.
Deleting your data
- One account: in the portal, open Connections (under your initial, top right), choose the account, and press Disconnect. Its key and everything read from it are deleted straight away.
- Everything, including your sign-in: email support@roam.community and we'll delete it within 7 days.
You can also take away the portal's access on the platform itself:
- Google and YouTube: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions
- Instagram: in the app, Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, then remove Pookie's Portal.
- TikTok: in the app's settings, under Security & permissions, remove Pookie's Portal from the apps you've allowed.
- Shopify: in your store's admin, Settings → Apps, then uninstall Pookie's Portal.
Once a platform stops letting the portal read an account, nothing more is read from it.
Google and YouTube
When a YouTube channel or a Google Analytics property is connected, the portal reads it through Google's APIs, including the YouTube API Services, with read-only access. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Pookie's Portal's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
Pookie's Portal is a work tool for the businesses' owners. It isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too, and the businesses' owners hear about anything important before it applies.
